I was not the horseman I wanted to be. At the time, I was in my early thirties and had worked in the industry for nearly fifteen years. Managing a nice ranch, I was fairly accomplished with a herd of seventy-five plus horses (many that I had trained). I had started many colts, was a pack and trail distributor and taught horsemanship weekly.
